We Need Your Feedback!

The recipe list keeps growing! We are approaching a thousand Meals. A thousand! It’s fantastic- there are so many wonderful choices. Nearly a thousand meals designed specifically to be Zone friendly. It makes eating in the Zone a pleasure! With that many meals, it can be difficult to find recipes that you would like to try. That’s where you come in.

Your feedback is needed! With so many recipes, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to find the recipes that are outstanding? Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to see exactly how much you should serve yourself (instead of “1/6th of a recipe”, have “1 Cup”?) Wouldn’t it be great if those pesky little errors in some of the recipes were corrected?

We think so. That’s why we’ve made it super easy for you to give us your feedback. Now, in every recipe, there is a link titled Give Feedback. When you click on that link, there are three options to choose from. They are:

Rate the Recipe.
The recipe rating are the stars that show next to each recipe in the list. You can sort on the number of stars. When building a menu, you can filter out recipes that don’t have enough stars. But in order for this to work, you need to rate them! Every time you make a recipe, you should rate it! It’s very easy to do- it only takes a moment. Just click on the stars and a window appears. Select 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 stars, and click the Rate button. That’s it! And, coming soon, you will be able to see at a glance in the Recipe page not only what the overall rating is, but what you have rated it as well!

Report an Error.
Hey, we all make mistakes. Sometimes the member who entered the recipe doesn’t catch them, and sometimes we don’t catch them. But, we are interested in correcting them. Unfortunately, we don’t know about an error unless you tell us about them! It is really easy- view the recipe, click the Give Feedback link, then click the Report an Error link. In the window that appears, all you have to do is type in the description of the error and click send. The rest is taken care of automatically! We promise to look at each error as soon as possible, and get them corrected promptly.

Provide “Makes” Information.
This one is huge. First, let us explain what the “Makes” information is:

What is “Makes”? It is the yield of the recipe. When you view a recipe, just under the list of ingredients there May Be a phrase such as “Makes 7 Cups (362 calories each)”. If that is there, and the recipe is either Make Whole or you are using Family Style, your serving size will be displayed as “1-1/8 Cups” instead of “1/6 of Recipe”.

Why is it Important? When you view a casserole style dish, or a crock-pot dish, or a soup, or any other Make Whole recipe, your serving is displayed as a portion of the entire recipe. It can either be “1/12” of the recipe, which can be difficult to figure out- or it can be “1-1/4 Cups” which is very simple to measure. And, if you use Family Style, ALL recipes show serving sizes as a portion of the recipe. That means that if you are using Family Style, this is very important.

What we ask is this: When you make a recipe, measure it! Use Cups, Sandwiches, Muffins, whatever makes sense. Then, submit it to us using the Give Feedback link. That way, the next time you use the recipe (or any other member uses the recipe), you will know how much your serving is!
