Hi Mark:

We are happy to help!

The best way to get help with a specific recipe is to e-mail us, and provide the link to the recipe that you'd like help with. We are then able to see it, and can suggest revisions, additions, or adjustments to make it balance.

We hope to see some e-mails from you with some of your new recipes!

Thank you!

Read up on the Zone book but found it complicated. The shopping is mostly done. (I am sure I'll have to go back after being on this site. I'm ready to get started.

I can't wait to get started again! I have fluctuated off and on for the past 4 years and have eaten horribly since my divorce started 2.5 years ago so it's time to start eating healthy again!

Being menopausal has changed my dietery life. I have struggled in the past several years to loose weight and have failed. I would like something that I can do for the rest of my life that finally helps me get the weight off and keep it off.

Hi Bill,

Thank you for the kind words!

I think you've figured this out, but I want to be sure - I'd hate for you to have to extra work!

Whenever you view a recipe through the site through the "View Recipe" screen (NOT the "Recipe Builder"), the recipe is automatically sized for you and your family. It will increase everything as needed to feed you and your family, based on your settings.

However, whenever you view a recipe in the "Recipe Builder", it's always "as entered" - meaning with the same amounts as when the recipe was originally entered. The beauty, and magic, of FormulaZone is - that's OK. You don't have to change the size to feed your family - it will automatically do that when you view it through the "View Recipe" screen!

Hopefully this is helpful. If not, or if you have any questions at all, please send us an e-mail - we truly are glad to help!

Works very well. I began using it immediately because I wanted to grab an already created recipe but modify it for in house ingredient or brands that I may have on hand and see how it affects the balance of blocks, etc. To do this I might 'Add an ingredient'. Problem confusion I had was in copying it when in 'Family Style' mode because when viewing the recipe it shows it proportioned for all family members as well as based on which meal or snack it is. However when I copy it, it then shrinks it to individual plan size. My work around (which makes sense), is to then edit it as the individual sized ingredients making the substitutions, etc. When I finished editing it I then save it. When it is then viewed again (modified) under 'My Recipes' it will then properly show it proportioned for the whole family.

Nice work to whoever created this!! Thanks!
